Kenyatta Beasley is a dynamic trumpeter, composer, and educator known for his commanding tone and work with leading voices in jazz, including the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Benny Green is a master of the jazz piano tradition, celebrated for his deep swing and longtime presence alongside icons such as Art Blakey and Ray Brown. Joe Dyson is a highly sought-after drummer and bandleader whose playing is defined by precision, versatility, and a deeply musical approach to rhythm. Dezron Douglas is a renowned bassist with a rich, resonant sound, recognized for his work with artists including Pharoah Sanders and Ravi Coltrane. Keith Loftis is an expressive tenor saxophonist known for his wide-ranging musicality and distinctive voice across jazz and beyond.

Into The Ice ft. Seamus Egan and Maeve Gilchrist - Live From The Bridg

Step into a rare, live-recorded performance of Into The Ice, an immersive collaboration between Irish music icon Seamus Egan and acclaimed Scots/Irish harper Maeve Gilchrist.

Inspired by the history and mythology of Antarctic exploration, Into The Ice draws from the story of Ernest Shackleton’s 1914 Trans-Antarctic Expedition — a moment when imagination, science, and human ambition collided at the edge of the known world. 

Through a shared lens of traditional Celtic music, Egan and Gilchrist reimagine this landscape using a rich palette of instrumentation, electronic sound design, spoken word, and poetry. The result is a deeply evocative work that moves between austerity and beauty, solitude and connection — exploring themes of endurance, camaraderie, and the human impulse to explore the unknown. 

This special in-studio performance will be recorded live by the engineers at The Bridge Studio, offering a rare opportunity to experience this work up close as it unfolds in real time.

Manu Martínez - Live From The Bridge

Step into an intimate live-recorded session with Manu Martínez, a Honduran musician, composer, and producer whose work explores the rich cultural and sonic traditions of Central America.

Manu’s compositions traverse and interweave diverse genres while drawing from deep cultural and ethnic research. At the center of his current artistic work is an exploration of the sonic intersections among Honduras’ nine Indigenous tribes, examining how their distinct musical languages coexist, influence one another, and contribute to a broader understanding of national identity.

A pioneer in composing soundtracks for Honduran films and documentaries, Manu has also produced music for a wide range of audio-visual projects. Raised in a low-income household without access to formal musical training, he developed as a self-taught musician and composer from an early age. Today, his works are performed and studied in schools, cultural institutions, media platforms, orchestras, artistic ensembles, marching bands, and folkloric dance groups both within Honduras and internationally.

This intimate in-studio performance will be recorded live by the engineers at The Bridge Studio, giving you the opportunity to witness and support the creation of new music as it unfolds in real time. A Long Island native and the son of a jazz singer, Mercer has been immersed in music since childhood. His playing is shaped by icons like Bill Evans and John Coltrane, as well as modern innovators such as Tigran Hamasyan and The Roots. A graduate of The New School for Jazz on full scholarship, Mercer has shared his music at venues including Smalls, Shapeshifter Lab, and Williamsburg Music Center, performing with some of NYC’s most forward-thinking musicians.

Kicking off the night is Ryan Delmonico, performing selections from his debut album. With honest lyricism and lush melodic phrasing, Ryan’s songs take on new dimension accompanied by members of Little Kruta in special live string arrangements.

Closing the evening is Kristine Kruta and her string ensemble Little Kruta, known for reimagining genre through cinematic chamber textures and fierce emotional energy. This rare acoustic set will showcase the ensemble’s signature blend of classical precision and bold improvisation—captured live, as it happens.

Guest Artists & Performers:

Carrie Courogen Reading: Carrie Courogen is a writer, editor, and director. Her work has appeared, in print and video, in publications like Glamour, NPR, Paper Magazine, Pitchfork, Teen Vogue, Vanity Fair, Vice, and more. Her debut book, Miss May Does Not Exist: The Life and Work of Elaine May, Hollywood’s Hidden Genius, was lauded as one of the best non-fiction books of 2024. She will be reading excerpts at the beginning of the evening.

Lulu Lewis Performance: Lulu Lewis is the creation of multi-instrumentalist & producer Pablo Martin (Tom Tom Club & The Du-Rites) and artist / performer / vocalist Dylan Hundley (Metropolitan, Host of Radar on The Vinyl District). Their sound is a blend of post-punk, disco and funk delivered with cinematic influence. They will be performing with their band selections from their LP’s Genuine Psychic, Dyscopia and new material.

Ryan Lee Crosby Performance: Ryan Lee Crosby blends echoes of Mississippi, Mali, and India into songs that speak from—and to—the heart. Produced by Fat Possum's Bruce Watson, Crosby's latest "Winter Hill Blues" evokes the essence of Mississippi, refracted by influences of Indian slide guitar. The sound is forged from his life as an internationally traveling musician and studies with Jimmy "Duck" Holmes and RL Boyce. Ryan will be joined by percussionist Grant Smith.

Red Noise Pedals: We’ll be joined by Ariel Scherbacovsky who is the maker behind Red Noise Pedals. Ariel will have some pedals on hand & plugged in so guests can “gear pet” and make some sounds before the show & recording commences.

Set in The Bridge Studio’s acoustically pristine live room, this event offers a rare opportunity to witness the creative process up close while being part of an exclusive live recording session.

Known for his fearless genre-crossing—from jazz and free improvisation to Carnatic fusion and ambient pop—Watson brings a boundary-pushing spirit and deep musicality to everything he touches.

At just 24, Tim has already toured internationally, performed with legends like Ignacio Berroa and Joel Ross, and premiered works with artists as varied as JACK Quartet and Anantha R. Krishnan. His most recent project, Hostile Architecture, explores the intersections of South Indian classical rhythm, minimalism, and electro-acoustic experimentation.

In this intimate, one-night-only performance, Watson will present his guitar trio as part of Live From The Bridge, the intimate recording series hosted at The Bridge Studio.
