Grammy Award winning bassist/vocalist, Ben Williams is known for his socially conscious and genre-bending work as a bandleader and as a sideman with such greats as Pat Metheny, Robert Glasper, David Sanborn, Kamasi Washington, Jose James, Stefon Harris. Williams will be bringing his band to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King through his recent socio-politcal projects, “I AM A MAN” and “Between Church & State” in an exclusive live recording and screening of his latest short film, “Between Church & State” plus Q&A along with Bennie Barnes (Williams’ mother and subject of film) and Todd Starr (Williams’ brother and producer of film).
