Step into an intimate live recorded session with trumpeter JS Williams and his quintet:
JS Williams, Trumpet
Bernell Jones II, Tenor Saxophone
Chris Paultre, Piano
Jason Maximo Clotter, Bass
James "Biscuit" Rouse, Drums
A native New Yorker trained at LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, The New School, and Queens College (M.M.), JS Williams has built a career defined by range as much as chops. Sideman credits include Living Colour, Miss Lauryn Hill, and Parliament-Funkadelic featuring George Clinton. Known for his impeccable technique and expressive tone on trumpet, JS is also a gifted vocalist and arranger whose work moves fluidly between genres, using music as a vehicle for education, history, and storytelling.
This Live From The Bridge installment captures JS and his quintet in a single, unrepeatable take, recorded live by our engineers while a small audience shares the same acoustically pristine live room, no overdubs, no second chances, just the performance as it happens, becoming part of the moment, and the record. The result is a rare kind of intimacy: you are not watching a show, you are inside the take.
The Bridge Studio, South Williamsburg (nearest J/M Marcy Ave station) Exact address will be revealed upon ticket purchase.
Space is extremely limited. If your plans change, please notify us so we can release your spot.
