In a night that feels historic and hopeful, Live From The Bridge presents an extraordinary trio of women virtuosos—Mehrnam Rastegari, Camila Celin, and Roshni Samlal—coming together to redefine tradition, protest norms, and birth something new. Mehrnam, a master of the kamancheh and cinematic Persian composer, has brought her instrument into fusion, film, and modern sound worlds.
Camila Celin commands the sarod and guitar with boldness and nuance.
Roshni Samlal, NYC-based tabla player rooted in the Farukhabad, Benares, and Punjab gharanas, weaves percussive threads with precision and soul. brooklynragamassive.org

These instruments—kamancheh, sarod, tabla—have historically been dominated by men. Watching these three women unite in performance, one could say, becomes an act of protest, assertion, and reclamation. Yet they are not defined by that alone. Individually, they are towering forces in their own right, each with deep musical voices and vision. Their coming together started as a casual jam they posted online—and the response was electric. In that moment, we saw the promise of something more.

This evening will be the first documentation of their collective voice. We’re honored to host this moment, to record it, and to share it with you live in the room. Join us.

Live From The Bridge is a performance and recording series where artists share new work in real time, with a live audience in the room.
