Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter KALEN is stripping things down with her upcoming album, Velvet Night. To celebrate its release, Live From The Bridge will host a special evening featuring an intimate in-studio performance and live recording, paired with a showcase of artwork from the Velvet Night zine.

KALEN records and performs under her own name and as part of Death By Piano, a theatrical darkwave, rock-noir, trip-hop project. Drawn to glitter, glitch, and grit, her work explores the marriage of music, myth, movement, and motherhood. Her new record, Velvet Night (Hi 4 Head Records, Fall 2025), is a stripped-down collection of twelve songs—six new and six reimagined acoustic versions of her earlier work.
